creating hypes : les blogs next week

11.25.2005 | 1 Comment

Stuart has subscribed to all the blogs on the confirmed participant list of “les blogs” next week in Paris
for some reason I am not on that list…. maybe if Stuart see’s this he will add me to his blogroll.

It’s great to see that it is the actual participants and not the planners of the conference that are creating the hype and network pre and post the conference.

I can’t tell you how much my life has changed since reboot – not the just the conference in itself, but the amount of people that I have been involved with since – and projects.. is excellent.

Im kinda hoping that “les blogs” are going to be on the level with reboot as well..

now I will subscribe to the feeds of the confirmed participants, I call it “homework to get the best out of my conference”..

nice one Stuart…

entrepreneurial blogging

11.23.2005 | 0 Comments

the various entrepreneurial network where I roam – don’t see what blogging can do for the selfmade (wo)man…

1. it is timeconsuming
2. it takes practise
3. is it worth it ?

blogging is about conversations and people – but can wellness companies, zonetherapists and coaches benefit from it ? will they be read by the people who has an interest in the company ?

Im puzzled. I see it from two sides:

- entrepreneurs are screaming for ways to make more money – and market themselves
- blogging is an inexpensive way to market yourself.
- it is a way for small companies to put a face behind the product, webwise…
- people can get to know you without meeting you at a network meeting – or any other place..

but:

entrepreneurs are allways busy as it is…. why should they make time for blogging if they want to reach their target group who isn’t bloggers – and haven’t heard of blogs before ?

I wonder.. debate anyone ?

in the aftermath of the sony musicCD’s installing rootkits on peoples computers.. (which was a very bad idea)
there has been launched a boycott Sony blog

people are signing a petition against sony, claiming that they will never buy a Sony product again..

SOOOny ? how will you get out of this one..

I might have one of your camera’s, some of your cd’s.. but I will I buy your product again ?

our project holding company and bitching about b-one

11.15.2005 | 0 Comments

as real entrepreneurs, Thomas and I have made a blog at our “project holding company” ’s webpage it is called “toothless tiger” -and is going to host the 3 current projects we are building, plus many more in the future..

apart from the above mentioned, I am getting quite furious with B-one.net’s terms ( a danish hosting company).. see I want to move Prograes to another host – because I need a mailinglist for the members..

But

a. I have to write them a snailmail letter with my signature ( it is not enough to send them an email where I have done the signature on my tablet) brrr..

b. i have to pay three months hosting (when I have moved the domain) … I don’t really understand this ? it is a domain, not an appartment ?

anyway I agreed to the terms when I signed up. I just didn’t read the “terms of agreement”.. does anyone ?

this is how I have to prioritize

My baby’s kindergarden called and she’s sick.

So Im staying at home.

I couldn’t be there anyway if she was sick at home, it would break my heart.

babies before business…

the silent revolution manifesto

11.10.2005 | 2 Comments

here it is. my silent revolution manifesto – I’ve worked hard on this and I am currently developing into an essay ..

The silent revolution is a movement WITHIN people to cope with the everyday information overload due to consumerism and marketing.

Nowadays we get so much information that there is no way that we can cope with it.

Not convinced? take a look at your inbox, or television or kids. Add your rss feed and your personal network. Stir it up with the products the media wants you to buy. Add a little touch of whatever the society wants you to be like – and you are almost there

Every company in the world wants you as it’s target group. They customize and scale themselves across branches and media – just to get in your head !

In the world of today (and tomorrow) you will always be pressured. Deal with it!

What we need now is the best tools to make more time available – and they are currently being developed and marketed.

As a PR person, by now I know, that the chances of getting through to your audience via mainstream media ( TV, Radio and newspapers) are almost nonexistant.
It’s deathexpensive too.
And it doesn’t succeed.

There is nothing new under the sun. Companies are desperate looking for growth, and still, everybody ( including your neighbor) wants to sell you something.

I know, you want to sell something too.

So what happens?

People start to make their own media, global mikro companies, freelance companies etc.

You can even start your own bank now.

Everything is possible.

Lifehacker is a guide devoted to productivity and software.

from my point of view it is made in the spirit of “the silent revolution”.. how to cope with information overload.

very nifty indeed
