now as an exlondoner – there is no doubt about where I am going to dine everytime im in the center of Copenhagen ( link is in danish).. I am a mad fan of wagamama especially their yasai katsu curries. I think that Zpitzen and Marisse both are going to be happy – now we are just missing yo sushi and lush! – then there is no need to go to London at all ! ( naaah just joking)
But I want to touch on the subject of the Gia vs. Anina discussion…
1. the discussion at LIFT’06 was lame, too generalised -and too ” we-are-starting-to-add-women-to-this-industry-yey!”
2. If there is ever a “women in technology panel ” again , I will personally boycut the conference.. women should speak on the same conditions as men at TECH conferences..
3. I hope none is taken this to personally, but in my opinion one of the reasons of Anina speaking at these conferences, is because of her ability for External PR – face it.. Local media love her… she’s news value and hot stuff ( and she’s taking photos with Robert Scoble)wuhu!
4. Anina is doing a good job, personally we’re not what you would call “fond of eachother”.. but in her own field she is doing something special.
5. in the tech world she is doing nothing more special than I am ( or Gia am).. she’s trying to make money doing something she loves..
6. I didn’t think that Anina had a significant place on the panel ( I think it is for external PR) and another woman could have taken her place…
Tomorrow, DK blogMAMA no. 1 Trine-Maria and I (AlphaFeMale and Enfant Terrible of the danish blogosphere) are doing a presentation at CBS ( Copenhagen Business College) for a bunch of Cand. Dat students.
the venue will take place at Solbjerg plads 3 on Frederiksberg in audiotorium SP213 at 16.15 hours
the structure will be that I will touch upon blogging in educational purposes, communities and networking ( the more “social” part of blogging aka. ToothlessTiger Projects), while Trine-Maria will talk about corporate blogging and her examples working with companies on a consultative basis.
I must try to remember the 10/20/30 rule of powerpoint…
I think it’s going to be sweet, and I hope to see ya’ll there !
peace out
to the London Girl Geek Dinner – without a date… so If you guys want to be there ( and chat to Cory Doctorow) I’m ready to be bought…
this is also going to be an opportunity to get together with all the geekgrrls and have them sign up for the geekgrrls lens
well here’s a Geekdinner at it’s appropiate level… jesus. it is hosted by microsoft… yey. let’s see what crazy creative events are coming up on this “72 hour conversation with Bill Gates” – my question is.. what does microsoft want to do at a conference apart from pushing their products to people .. and their “NO, Honestly.. we ARE interested in Open Source”…strategy don’t bite on me. call me a rebel, I am !
just returned back home from Elsinore ( the city where I grew up and lived until I was 19) – where I was working as mastercrew on “the Copenhagen Protocol” ( Danish: Københavnerprotokollen)
a roleplaying game for 250 students at the commerce college, about europe, terrorism, politics etc.. )
what was interesting was to see how Daniel Karpantschof, had arranged it all .
and that the students, after three days ( and these are softmores) could articulate themselves, express themselves in front of a crowd and knew all about the european political scene.
I see a whole new business plan coming up..
there are some off scene pictures on my 23 account for those who want to see how a crew looks like after 5 days with no sleep , lots of cigarettes and coffee, and a bit of alcohol *s*
