lift06 revisited – my reflections after a day with a hyper babygirl

it’s good to be home again this time – even though Switzerland and Lift06 was inspiring and educational.
Again apart from the usual crowd. I had the pleasure of meeting Jasmina Tesanovic – kick ass writer ( and wife of Bruce Sterling – he was really inspirational too ( and he promised me a 10 gallon hat ( or so I hope)). they waited with me for my ride up in the french mountains where I crashed at Jean-Francois Groff’s mountain house – it was such a nice breakaway from the conference and the hotels so I really appreciated it.

I think the conference in general, was really good – and very well organised. Even though there where some people who I had NO idea why they were speaking there.
if I should touch of something that needs to be better, the next time around, ( it isn’t really criticism but suggestions)
- more research into the speakers vs. the targetgroup
- DON’T do a panel of women in Technology, yeah we know we’re not strongly represented, but have women speak instead ( of course they need to be qualified). It was a stroke to my head as a female in Technology.
anyways, I didn’t make it to the party on friday night because of the french traffic to the mountains.. go figure..
and speaking of mountains… I ONLY saw a tiny mountain on the way to the airport!, it was too foggy ( but I was told that from JF’s house in sunshine you had Mount Blanc right in front of you… so weather, treat me better next time …)
but nice trip and city and conference and people and conversations ( did I miss any buzzwords)?
