my (somehow secret) passion for hats and wigs!

Im not a jewelry girl. when it comes to style I am mainly hats and bags.

Hats I have been a fan of, ever since my great grandmother befriended an old lady in Frederiksberg, who had been working as a costumier on all the “big” danish movies from the 1950′s and 1960′s.

Now I have an rather exceptional friend called Annelise… she is very dear to me, even though she is older than my mom – she is one of the people who inspires me most

She has the same passion for hats.

We found a modist who could teach us how to make hats. and so we did it. for a weekend ( or a day) once every 3rd month – I find myself sitting totally concentrated sewing on a hat. So far I have made 3 myself. it is possibly my coolest new discovery, and you know I always wanted to learn a craft.

my dream hat is the big pink hat that Pamela Anderson occasionally is wearing – I don’t think I would be able to look half as gorgeous – but I tell ya.. THAT HAT IS COOL!

and being curlyhaired.. I love to wear wigs too. because it changes my look completely

anyway this is one of my favorite hats – and one of my favorite wigs

it was actually the first hat I have made myself…

and a cleopatra wig bought at camden in London – to go clubbing.. good fun!

you can see the rest on my style photoalbum on 23

  1. I can’t make hats – I do love them, though. I wear them and sell them. I understand your passion; women in hats is a gift.
