2008 and a bit of 2009

The blogosphere is crowded with 2008 retrospects and 2009 predictions these days. here’s what has happened with me in 2009
The year had a weird start in january where I was still fulltime employed at my old job that I didn’t really like that much.
There was a lot of mikroblogging hype due to my work with jaiku.com, primarily after they where sold to Google. Also in January I began to work on my book, which I, at that point gave the working title “presence marketing and the art of being where people are”, microblogging and researching jaiku in particular had given me a whole different view on both “online” and “presence” and the combination of the two.
In February I did a 5 minute open stage presentation at lift08 in Geneva about “enjoy the chaos” – a lot of people was really exstatic about it.
Also February was the first time I actually started toying around with “rockbandism” and how it would benefit companies to look upon themselves as rockbands.
In March I decided to leave my job – both because of consultant enquiries from various companies but also because my job affected me in such a way personally that I wasn’t happy with anything.
In April I told my employer that I was leaving, and I started to do a couple of speeches about social web marketing again and social media marketing in particular. Also I started talking a lot about strategic online presence and how you needed to find out where you wanted to be, even though online you, in theory, really need to be everywhere.

In May I left my job. I got married to the most wonderful man on earth. I feel in love with freelancelife and Mark joined Toothless Tiger as a SiFR/ubi comp expert. Great stuff.
In June I took on two contracts, one for actics.com and one for koblo.com and found out that I should only be juggling two companies at a time.
In July I went to a music festival -and I finished the first draft of the book – still having the same working title
In August I took upon the task to project manage a green workshop at iværk08 in the beginning of september
In September I worked on the green workshop værk08 and I got a bookdeal ! – or so I thought.
In October I did a lot of speeches and went to shift08 to do my first presentation of “why every company should be a rockband” – it was a blast
In November my bookdeal got cancelled and I decided to create Toothless Tiger Press, a publishing house where you could actually publish whatever you wanted without it being made mainstream or changed by the publisher. Also me and Line Young Petere launched Eeze.dk a danish blog from two of the most unique women in danish IT. Loads of speeches as well in November, also Barcamp Copenhagen was held.
In December I featured as a december 7 girl for 24ways.org with the article “how to create rockbandism” – also the first ebook called “why every company shoudl be a rockband” in english and danish was published on Toothless Tiger Press.
SO… what am I going to do in the following year ?
in january – I really hope to have my book out in danish- which now has it’s final title: “return on involvement- how to use social networks to create more than business (as usual)”. Also the French edition of “why every company should be a rockband” will be out. I also hope to relaunch Henrietteweber.com to make it more business/consultant-y, and I will make a social marketing/branding whitepaper that will be out on toothlesstiger.com as well.
In february I will market my book in danish and have it translated to english.
In march I will go to Austin for SXSW
that’s all for now – hope you liked my selfabsorbed blogpost about 2008 =)
