It’s been a while since I have updated you about the project. The boat will sail this summer and this blog is going to be filled with updates when the spring starts to come and we can get to work on the boat (and it’s not snowy and freezing here).. it’s a HUGE project, but it’s soo much fun and we are so motivated… I have forgotten to tell you that we found the mast and the sails for it are “looking” ok (im afraid they’ll rip apart when they are set). And a motor update: We have a sponsor for the whole of the motor into consideration (guys we need to get that rukwubben protocol working for the iphone app) so Pan can be flashy and glamourous and everything it’s not – yet =).

Also I want to thank you so much for your support in this HUGE irl startup/upcycling project – it means the world to me, and the project is so purposeful, I am looking so much forward to taking everyone of you out sailing this summer =) If you are interested in knowing more and helping out,  you can follow the project on this blog – otherwise there’s a  facebook page for Pan and we are also in the process of setting up a webpage for it (oh and if you want to help out with any of it, please let me know =).

So during the last 2 weeks a lot has happened – there has been a reboot, a lot of socializing, getting to choose the right paper for printing my first book – but most important of all: there has been a launch party of the coworkingboatpan. It wasn’t a final launch – but it was a celebration of how much the co-founders (my husband, my brother and I) has gotten done on our inreallife – startup. Basically you could say that the launch party was from private to public beta -and now we only have to get the funding to have the engine running to actually have a fully functional yet ugly webapp coworkingboat.

we still have a bunch of shares to sell off around 100 at 500 DKR a piece – we need to sell around 10 more this summer to get the engine working – so please contact me at henriette @ toothlesstiger . com and become a shareholder in the coolest – most action packed IRL startup around.

So this is to get the engine working – in the fall we will actually try and fund for a winterhood and for a paintremoving/ painting job.. so still lots to be done – internally as well as externally =)

btw that we are aiming for is a miniature version of Alastair Callender’s Soliloquy – the super green super yacht. We just want to make a super retro super green coworkingboat. the yacht comes later =)

So Reboot11 is over and I guess we’re all digesting the movements, thoughts, laughters, actions and most important to me – the old new. “old new” seems to collect everything I consist of these days. From my pledge to use old stuff for everything not to support mass production of clothes etc etc… to my work with Coworkingboatpan – an action packed shared economy project between people I love.

Reboot was fantastic as every year however the focus is being taken more and more away from the speakers and to the people instead – which is why i choose to go to reboot every year – because of the openess and the creativity from the other people there. NOT that the speakers don’t do a great job- but reboot is more than that.

On saturday I had a coworkingboat pan launch party (more on that later) – where it became obvious how many of the people I am calling “friends” these days where some that I have met at reboot – and in particular reboot7. Reboot7 changed my life. Reboot11 confirmed me in what I believe in most – and it gave me so many thoughts. It basically made me reboot my vision of action – which was the organizers goal.

You succeeded but you also did more than that – you made me jump and smile and laugh:

This time in sunshine, and in the water – every breath we take in that boat is a breath closer to the goal =) – and we still have a “couple” of shares left at 500 kr a piece if you’re into the most creative boat/coworking project ever…. =)

So she’s in the water – still a long way to go though. Anyway we are having the official launch party of the coworkingboat pan on the 27th of June – for shareholders mainly. I have a high hope that it will turn into an all-night beach party. And I have both gotten Champagne and icecubes sponsored by two mystery guests=)

So the time is booked for the truck to come and seaset Pan on Saturday, we are going to be in Elsinore (where Pan is placed at the moment) most evenings of this week to make sure everything is finished (on the exterior) before saturday. We have a pretty good plan so I am sure it works out. We where supposed to start painting the boat tonight, but due to bad weatherforecasts we decided to start painting tomorrow instead. However – I have putted together a video for you of the progress on the boat.

So this weekend we worked on Pan again – next week we are starting with the outside of the boat, it’s kinda tricky this part, because there’s some timeframes that needs to be fitted in, for the paint and primer to actually be fully functional.

In this video I am searchin for the ecopaint for boats – neptune formula, plus I am talking about an addition to Pan I think would be so cool – solar panels.

If you think this project rocks and you really want a part of a boat, you can still get a share (or two) in the boat – I have 107/120 shares left (13 sold) – they are 500 danish kroner a piece =)

So those of you who has been following this blog knows that I have had a dream during the last couple of years to turn my great grandparents old LM23 into a danish coworking space placed whereever the boat may be. It looks like a mess – but I am so sure it’s gonna be great. Anyway we are retronizing the boat – which means that we are going to turn it back into the original state =)

So what big things we need to make coworking space PAN come true ?

- paint – which is around 1500 dkr
- a customtailored hood 8000 dkr
- an new diesel engine for an 1973 lm23 – without a swing -please, I think it’s around 40.000 dkr and definetly the biggest post.

in total it’s about 60.000 kr

If you guys who has already started to email me want to have a share of PAN 2.0 I think I can sell a share for 500 kr a piece. that means that we have 120 shares of the boat to sell this summer. You people who has already raised interest in supporting our (me, Thomas and my brother) huge project has my eternal gratitude.

For a share in Pan you get access to the boat, special boat dinners and sailing trips around øresund (maybe a trip to Hven is coming up?, who knows)

update: I have furthermore gotten the paint sponsored by Elmine and Ton, it’s ecofriendly, by Ecomarine Paint AB and the brand is called Neptune formula. If you are a boatowner, please buy this, the product rocks. Also taken in consideration how poisonous that paint for boats normally is .and it’s both paint for the bottom of the boat and a primer that you have to add before the paint is putted on.

Apart from that Pedro and his wife Patricia has decided to sponsor retronized and sewed (homemade) pillowcovers. You guys makes my world go round – If I can have 16 people signing up for the shares by the end of next week, I can actually get the hood on really soon, and then we’re rolling.
